Day 18.062: Mink

This morning our nature group watched an American mink on the snow and ice next to the river. 

It was in and out of the water channels between the chunks of ice. They are classified as semi-aquatic and generally hunt in and alongside waterways. I really had no idea about them beyond a general impression of shape and size.
