We love that "lobster" plate especially because of the word "Lobster" at the bottom - so random and it's an inherently funny word in my opinion. It was only as I was taking the NY plates off I realised that the "Mohawk Honda" advertising was completely covering the "The Empire State" tagline on those plates.
Funny you should ask - we just went to the BMV (bureau not department) yesterday and did just that - although, reading up beforehand, they only say that the written and road tests *may* be waived. Guess we got lucky this time!
