Day 14.085: Water color by brook

As Exile #2 mentioned, we had a quick early afternoon walk on the beach yesterday. It was quite windy - enough to make it significantly easier walking south than north.

We saw a couple of turkey vultures circling and a black scoter alternating between being visible and disappearing - sometimes behind a wave and sometimes by diving. It made it quite a challenge to keep track of it.

We were surprised by this band of brown water between us and the very blue sea beyond - it did not seem to be weed:

When we got to Goosefare Brook we saw that its waters were brownish - perhaps a sign of the reawakening of the marsh land - presumably the incoming tide was holding the brook water along the beach edge - causing the dramatic color band.
