We love our trees. They give us wonderful shade in the summer, lovely colors in the early fall, and skip loads of leaves to rake once it gets cold. With two hard frosts this week that is, of course, what we did for much of Saturday. We also spent some time watching the progress of one of our local squirrels as he excavated a pumpkin we had bought, but not carved, for Halloween. I applaud him for his persistence and can’t help feeling he deserves his reward - but I may live to regret that, as he seems to be burying much of it in the front yard.
In other news,
E5N1 now comes with added braces (of the dental kind). He is through the worst of the pain and is figuring out how to play the trumpet with the additional metalwork. He was sounding pretty good earlier, so I’m optimistic!
