Day 14.326: Old world sparrows
My go-to birding field guide is Peterson's "Birds of Eastern and Central North America". Nestled between the regular orioles and some exotic south Texan orioles is a page of "Finchlike Birds" including two that are - possibly slightly dismissively - labeled "Old World Sparrows". A couple of them visited our feeder yesterday.

This UK reader would be very pleased to see House Sparrows on his feeder these days, but there are colonies elsewhere in the village
