Day 14.329: Exile #2's Sunday Column #373

Exile #2 writes...

Our house was a mish mash of holiday décor this week. The squirrel-carved pumpkin sat on our front step, under a decorative metal pumpkin on the front door. But the lights on the bush had changed from orange to white and we had an undecorated Christmas tree standing proudly at the front window. Mid-week the tree gained some lights and this weekend, perhaps inspired by the festivities of the Parade of Lights we finished decorating.

After we were done with the tree, Exile #3 captioned it by saying “when your kids are old enough for you to have a pretty tree.” What she means is there are a fewer things made with craft foam and pipe cleaners. Don’t get me wrong it was nice to have those, and we do have a few survivors from the lolly stick decoration years but it’s also nice to have things a little fancy now!
