I'm not visiting Washington D.C., but I did spend a few hours this morning at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, within sight of the Washington Monument and I had a sufficiently early start that the sun was just rising as I arrived there.
As I came in, I had some nice views of Chesapeake Bay and then the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.
To think I saw those two monuments 70 years ago.
