It's always a mystery what you will find near the mouth of Goosefare Brook around low tide - the main mouth of the brook doesn't move much, but the secondary forks of the delta move around considerably from tide-to-tide. These streams often leave islands of beach surrounded by water, which - at this time of year anyway - are mostly populated by gulls:
