The weather has been unseasonably warm and it really hasn't felt much like winter most of the time, but that doesn't stop the hours of daylight being preciously short, so it was good we managed to decide on a quick outing straight after lunch as we didn't have much light left to play with.
Our outing took all five of us for a walk at the cemetery and included a few bird sightings.

Like the birds. Five of us and baby - and dogs - had a good walk at Watermead yesterday. No comparable sightings but many water birds.
ReplyDeleteNice birds. Also went on the Boxing Day walk around the village. Kept my eyes out for Waxwing - no luck so far sadly. I shall persevere, as it seems to be something of an irruption year here!🤞
ReplyDeleteThank you both - and thanks Andy for "irruption" which I needed to look-up but am very happy to add to my vocabulary! Good luck with your sightings! We see cedar waxwings fairly often (not at this time of year though) but have yet to see Bohemian waxwings (which I believe are also the UK waxwings) here.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics xx
