Day 8.145: Ultrasound!

It had been a while since I'd been in a room with an ultrasound machine...

This time (on Monday) I was not a spectator - it was my turn to go under the knife transducer. I was there for an echocardiogram since my EKG (ECG) on the day after my faint was not entirely normal (although no-one seemed significantly concerned). Anyway, apparently my heart is normal and appears to still be working just fine.

In fact, the only thing about my heart that seems noteworthy - everyone, including the sonographer, has commented on it - is my slow resting heart rate. I think it's always been quite slow, but my running has almost certainly lowered it over the last few years.

  1. For one moment there, I wondered if we were about to be introduced to N2 ! Now that would increase your heart rate...

    1. Yes - you'd think just being in close proximity to that machine would have that effect on me, but maybe 8 years is long enough for the association to fade a little!
