Day 11.028: Falling; through the cracks

We had a pretty good snow storm come through today. The kids were sent home from school and it snowed from late morning until after dark. The snow was not at all sticky and fell off the deck railings and even through the cracks in the deck itself.

By the time I went out to clear the driveway it had changed over to a bit of what US weather forecasts call sleet - ice pellets. Although still not remotely wet, these dense pellets act like heavy glue on the already fallen snow turning it much more dense and sticky. That made it a little more of a workout to clear it - but it still looks just as pretty!
