Day 11.319: Floating islands
We know when we go to the coast in the winter, that the islands in the bay often appear to be floating in the air:
We also know that it is a mirage - the warm water, heats the air above it and reflects the sky like a mirror above the water. This is even more obvious when looking along the coast:
But knowing this doesn't make the sight any less magical:
