Day 12.301: A bittersweet discovery

I spotted this pretty plant at the edge of the woods next to our back yard at the weekend.

I knew immediately it was bittersweet, but sadly it appears - from more detailed research - to be the Asiatic bittersweet which is classified by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry as "severely invasive" rather than American bittersweet.

I suppose I'll have to see if I can work out how to get rid of it once I confirm my identification.
