Here are some pictures from our Saturday morning walk on the beach - first the beach:
A sailing boat through the heat-haze at the mouth of the Saco River. We commented that it was a lovely day for sailing (some wind, but dead calm) unless you wanted "vigorous sailing":
The one bird I identified fairly definitively was this loon - fishing in the shallows:
Out to see were lots of ducks, maybe some scoters, maybe some long-tailed ducks? It was impossible to tell in person and even these pictures have not really cleared things up for me!
