Day 13.334: Not a blizzard, but perhaps a flurry

As I looked out of the window yesterday, I spotted movement near the edge of the slowly retreating snow-line. After a moment, I realized it was dark-eyed junco, no wait - two, no - three.

I took a few photos and looked up to see what they might be finding interesting in the grass (answer insects and seeds - both probably plentiful) and in the process saw that large winter foraging flocks of them are sometimes called a blizzard.

I counted six, there might have been as many as ten. Not a blizzard, but perhaps a flurry.
