Day 15.119: Arrowsic birds by sight and sound

Our walk at Squirrel Point and Bald Head was on the island of Arrowsic. We've been wondering how to pronounce it but our best guess is just a sped-up version of arrow-sick. Anyway, these are the birds I saw and photographed on our walk:

American goldfinch

Snowy egret

Pine warbler

Downy woodpecker

Broad-winged hawk

In addition, the Merlin ID app's "Sound ID" reported hearing the following:

Yellow-rumped warbler
Northern cardinal
Black-throated green warbler
Chipping sparrow
Black-capped chickadee
Black-and-white warbler
Tufted titmouse
Song sparrow
Blue-headed vireo
Sharp-shinned hawk
Red-breasted nuthatch

It would have been nice to see a few more of these, but very cool to think that they are all around us as we walk in the woods.
