Day 16.177: Marsh birds

Here are some of the birds we saw at the marsh on Monday.
Two song sparrows, a glossy ibis and a double-crested cormorant

Snowy egret (top-left and bottom-right) and great egret

Willets - amazingly visible when flying and almost invisible when not

We were baffled by so many swallows perching in groups until we realized they were young ones waiting to be fed.

Some more swallows and some other perching birds (unidentified)

And my favorite spot of the day - appropriately enough: a saltmarsh sparrow
