Day 10.207: Beach to Beacon to bar

This morning I raced the Beach to Beacon 10K road race for the fourth time. This is the start - at the Beach (well, near to Crescent Beach State Park):

The picture on the most-photographed lighthouse - Portland Head Light) is of Olympic gold medal winner and B2B race founder Joan Benoit Samuelson - today I shook her hand near the finish line where she looked just as fresh as she usually does - the only difference being that she had just run the race (she runs every 5 years) in a US record beating time for her division.
