We all sat down to watch the Super Bowl tonight It was a fun, if fairly one-sided game but in true American style the anthem, half time show, and ads (inspirational and funny) were as much a part of the entertainment. Above all, it was notable how present the themes of inclusion, unity, racial equity, and giving back were. I’m also pretty sure it’s the first sporting event I’ve ever seen that included a poet in its preshow build up!
