Day 15.235: They Might Be...here at last

Back in February 2020 (before you-know-what), we bought tickets to see They Might Be Giants in Portland the day after our 26th wedding anniversary.

Sometime in 2020, the gig was postponed a whole year (it seemed a bit excessive at the time - little did we know) to our 27th wedding anniversary.

Sometime in 2021, the gig was postponed another year to today (the day before our 28th wedding anniversary). Then, after just the first gig of the tour, one of the band was nearly killed in a road accident with a drunk driver on his way home from the concert and they had to cancel a load more dates and we feared another postponement. However, he was sufficiently recovered for this leg of the tour to go ahead, so here we go - at last:

We've never had tickets so far in advance for anything. Even our wedding wasn't planned this far in advance (by more than a factor of two).

Fortunately, it was a wonderful evening - and well worth the wait.
