Day 13.361: Gamification and seed heads
With E5N1 gamifying our trip to Fort Williams Park thanks to Pokémon Go and therefore motivated to visit to various locations, we visited parts of the park that we might not otherwise have done at this time of year. This included the gardens which despite the midwinter were filled with drama from the plant stems and leaves (albeit in shades of brown) and many seed heads left standing:

Day 13.360: Beach light
Not much to report from our early morning trip to the beach yesterday, but it's still more interesting than my day at work today.

Day 13.359: Exile #2's Sunday Column #329
Exile #2 writes...
Exile #1 and I seized the day and went for a bracing walk on the beach this morning. It was so quiet that we even were able to unmask for most of our walk. It felt quite luxurious to breath the fresh air until we turned around into the wind, at which point we made full use of our masks’ useful cheek warming properties.
This afternoon, many hands made light work of tidying up the Christmas tree and decorations. Just as well, because rumor has it that someone under this roof will be clocking up a half century later this week...

Day 13.358: A little snow
There was a dusting of snow as I was going to bed last night:
In the early hours we had a couple of inches - enough for the plow to come along the street and (as it turns out) knock our recycling bin over. By the time we got out of bed it had turned to a mix of wet snow and rain falling and turned everything into a slushy mess. Fortunately, I managed to stand the bin up before the trash collectors came around, so all was good.
