Day 12.027: Space, goats and other stories

This evening, we braved the approaching storm to take Exile #3 to the auction at Frontier in Brunswick, where one of her works was being sold for charity. The work - one of about fifty in the sale all of which were varied interpretations of the topic of "Goats in Space" - was posted back on Day 11.301.

As well as saying a final goodbye to one of her favorite paintings, we enjoyed viewing the other art:

and, since one of the benefiting charities is a story-telling collective, there were stories from friends of the sponsoring goat farm - including two family members and (left below) a Star Trek actress (and local organic farmer) - Mary Linda Rapeleye and finally a member of the Telling Room - who told a story about how a goat in his native Uganda came by its name.

And yes, we out-bid another hopeful buyer to reunite Exile #3's painting with her other portfolio pieces!
