For today's post, you need a few items of background information:

1. Facebook has a feature where you can buy and sell things locally.
2. I occasionally browse this - especially when interesting pieces of musical equipment pop up.
3. The plastic thing you strum a guitar with that is called a "plectrum" in the UK is called a "pick" here in the US.
