After our trip to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and our meal in Freeport, we were walking back to the car and Exile #3 made a comment about how long ago our leaving home seemed. So I jokingly asked if she had had a busy day and she comically (in the style of a young child) recounted all the things we'd done right up to that moment - "...and then you asked me what we'd done today..."
"And what did you say?" I prompted.
As she began the whole story again, Exile #4 in desperation - pointed and said, "Look - bears!" which to everyone's relief stopped the cycle.
