Day 14.365: Year-end snowman update

On the last day of 2021, we made a snowman. He's still doing remarkably well so I thought this last day of the fifteenth year of The Exile was a good day to give you a little update - parse the post title however you will.

The day we built him, the temperatures were above freezing - great for packing snow, not so great for snowman longevity:

by two days later, he was in need of a bit of repair:

Which lasted surprisingly well, thanks to a cold spell. This was two days later:

Another two days brought this morning sight:

by lunchtime things were worse:

but more repairs were carried out:

The next day brought fresh snow:

Which did no harm at all:

This is the current state - in danger of losing his head and definitely too icy for any more repairs:

It is bitterly cold tonight, so he'll probably not change much - except for a little weight loss via sublimation. I'll probably give another update when there's something to report.
