Day 16.217: Maudslay trails

We had another adventure today, but here is part two of yesterday's - some pictures from the trails on the wilder side of the park.

There were nice views out over the Merrimack River

Your fearless foursome

Nature including several fungi (including one that needed Exile #4 for scale), an impressively twisted branch, a very fragrant bush, one of the pretty meadows, a furtive chipping sparrow and a feather (probably from a blue jay)

We spotted this flycatcher swooping down to the surface of the water repeatedly. It was quite distant and rather dull under the trees, so the photos can't confirm, but the Merlin app identified an eastern wood-peewee around the same time, so it could be that one.
