Day 17.329: Other nature observations

Some non-bird observations from our Thursday Wednesday morning birding outing. 

Various nests in the now-bare branches:

An interesting grafted ornamental pine with very pretty cones:

An odd circular formation:

The corky ridges on the seems of a burning bush:

And a second tulip tree - still holding lots of its flower heads:
