Day 17.333: Bird spa

At this time of year, our heated birdbath really comes into its own. Thai morning we woke to a couple of inches of fresh snow, but it looks like some birds had already been to have a drink (or a bath) here. The water stays cold but above freezing (as long as the power stays on). 

The squirrels visit it for a drink as well, but since they walk on the handrail to get there, these visitors must have been of the flying variety.
