Several of us had that experience - at various doors and windows this morning. This fall of snow was rather sticky.

Actually, it was still falling at that point, but it was all rather pretty, and quite impressive:
It was also very heavy and difficult to move, but we took our time and everyone played a part (including a neighbor who helped with the snow plow bank).
My measurements corresponded with others we found at 15 inches.
