The storm ended with a quick coating of snow, but the real story was the ice that formed through most of the day as very cold liquid rain fell on very cold ground.
It is very pretty:
but it weighs the trees down and causes a lot of power outages and other problems. We've had a few short power cuts and our cable (internet, TV, phone) were all down for several hours.
