We’ve had a lovely staycation week, with lots of walks and good food. Perhaps the nicest surprise has been the discovery that there are still places nearby that we haven’t visited. But as always, there have been.new things to see at old favorites.
All this has slightly, but not always, distracted us from the fact that Exile #3 is heading off to college on Tuesday morning. True, she is not going to be far away, but as we know from her dog sitting jaunts, we really do miss her when she’s not around.
The other young Exiles still have a couple of weeks left of vacation but we have collected one school iPad already, and there is the sense of a new school year tentatively rolling forward.
I'm thinking of Exile #3 heading off on this adventure, especially in these strange times. I hope college gets off to a really good start. I'm thinking too of the rest of you adjusting to her not being around at home. Dx
