While Exile #4 was out partying the night away with their friends, Exile #1 and I zipped into Portland to see a dance performance by Collective Motion, the adult company of the dance school that Exile #3 danced with for several years. Like many such groups, they have had limited opportunities to perform in the last couple of years, so it was really nice to see them back together again in a terrific little arts theater.
The performance was made even more enjoyable by the addition of live music, songs, spoken word, and projected images (and also one of the dancers’ small children getting excited and saying hi to her Mom when she appeared on stage.) We had a great time and rounded it off with a lovely stroll back to the car along the promenade.
