Day 14.143: Crescent Beach birds

Some of the birds we saw at Crescent Beach State Park on Memorial Day.

On the beach - a killdeer and a killdeer chick:


Over (and in) the shallows - terns possibly arctic (I didn't detect a black beak tip) but hard to be certain. They were obligingly active with their fishing expeditions.


Cormorants - flying and doing the low-level swimming thing:


On the trails, a song sparrow and a robin. By the rocks, several common eider:
