Day 17.333: Exile #2’s Sunday Column #503

Exile #2 writes....

We woke up to find that the world had, somewhat unexpectedly turned white. We also discovered that the dishwasher was making some rather unhappy noises. We did what we could to appease it but then had to dash out to church.

First view of the snow as it was still falling

The journey there was a little wintry, and we passed a vehicle that had spun out in the slippery conditions (fortunately without too much damage). We made it in good time, however, and I was thrilled and grateful to get the chance to lead again a carol that I wrote last year to the gorgeous tune of the Holmfirth Anthem.

The rest of the day was spent (hopefully) fixing the dishwasher. It is getting on with its job now. We can only wait and see if it will still be happy in the morning.
