Day 12.001: A dozen years

Another year of the Exile has passed. 12 years ago today four of us started our first day as residents (albeit temporary ones) of the US having flown the previous day with one-way tickets and entered on our new visas.

A few months later, E5N1 made an appearance and a few months after that my sister and her daughters visited. Here we are during that visit at Five Rivers where we spent many happy hours during our time in NY:

I love the way that this blog reminds us of the passage of time through its numerical rhythms and its memories - and so here begins the 13th year of this American adventure.
