Day 13.122: Coyotes at Middle Goosefare Trails

As Exile #2 mentioned, yesterday afternoon the two of us and E5N1 had a lovely walk at Middle Goosefare Trails. It's four years since our only previous visit. I'll post some more photos another day, but for now - here is the overlook that looks up the Goosefare Brook valley:

we stopped at just the right time to see a pair of coyotes who looked at us with interest but not alarm and then made their way across the brook and up into the woods:

It's our first sighting of coyotes in Maine. We saw them in New York on a couple of occasions, but never this well.
