Day 18.098: Bonus birding

It was one of our nature group’s member’s birthdays today and he invited any of us that could to join him for some birthday birding. Here is some of what we saw while I was there:

Red-tailed hawk

Belted kingfisher

Common mergansers - they spent a lot of time swimming with their heads down like two of them have here

Buffleheads

Rusty blackbird

Pied-billed grebe
