Day 8.026: I think that might be enough for now
By my unofficial reckoning, we've had 42 inches of snow in the last nine days. I think that's enough, but it looked pretty this morning with the latest batch of - this time wet and sticky - snow still falling and clinging to the trees.
Although we are not forecast much snow in the next few days, it won't be going anywhere. Tonight, the temperature is due to fall to -6°F (-21°C) and, with the windchill accounted for, the overnight low is -26°F (-32°C). There are no signs of temperatures above freezing anywhere in the forecast as far ahead as it goes (12 days). It's beginning to look a lot like winter.
