Day 8.252: York Harbor

For our visitor's last day, we went to York Harbor where we walked the loop trail in Steedman Woods (which I referred to as being "a lozenge [shape]" - causing much confusion, discussion and amusement among the kids), then followed Fisherman's Walk to the beach.

The two herons are interesting. The larger one is almost certainly an immature great blue heron, but the smaller one (last two photos) is probably a young black-crowned night heron - a much rarer sight around here.
