Day 11.217: Mount Washington

Today, we woke (a little late) to unexpectedly clear skies and a kind-looking forecast and decided to seize the day and do our drive up the Mount Washington Auto Road that we had tentatively scheduled for tomorrow. As you can tell, we lived to tell the tale.

This was the view of the mountain - mostly out of the clouds except the summit (we actually took this after we came down):

We had wonderful views most of the way up (more pictures to come), but experienced in-the-clouds summit too. This was the view from the top during a brief break in the clouds:
