Exile #2 writes...
After
Exile #1’s painting efforts yesterday, we joined the rest of our church congregation this morning in making bright tissue stars for the entranceway of our new building. They looked really quite pretty all laid out to dry and should catch the light nicely when they’re up. We’re hoping to be in by advent, but plenty has to happen before we can move in.
The weekend has also featured a great deal of acorn wrangling - yes, it’s that season again - made especially fun by the addition of sticky, newly-laid road surface. As I pry and scrub the acorns from the tarmac, I keep having to imagine the voice of David Attenborough, because I know that somehow he’d have a way of making even this seem delightful!
