In addition to the birds we saw yesterday, we also came across this:
We were very excited as it has been some time since we have seen evidence of what we could only assume was a beaver. Further along, as the sun was beginning to go down, we also heard some purposeful rustling in the reeds. We waited for a while - it was the perfect time of day - and we knew from past experience that they can be very elusive, but we did not manage to see anything this time, aside from a passing woman with a quizzical expression and a dachshund in a stroller! Still it was impressive in itself to see what this one had been able to achieve.
