I took the day off work today - this is how we spent it.
A trip to Portland - including rescuing lugworms on East End Beach, watching the narrow gauge railroad train go by and a rather excellent and indulgent lunch on the patio at Gilbert's Chowder House.
Later, when our kids got home from school, we went to a slightly windy and cool beach where we did some ambitious engineering and played an expansive game of tag:
