Day 7.311: Anyone for chess?

Yesterday morning I found E5N1 lining up Lego minifigures along the edge of a base and commented that it looked like he was making a chess set.

A little while later he had created these:

and after a few tweaks to the positioning, we were actually set up for a game:

The board is 32 by 32, so it works rather well as a chess board. We didn't have time to play then and there and, although I suggested he challenge Exile #4 later in the day, another game distracted her as Exile #2 mentioned yesterday.
