Day 14.217: Exile #2's Sunday Column #357

Exile #2 writes...

It was much more pleasant today, after a couple of days of sweltering heat and record-breaking humidity. We even braved lunch outside. We’re all covered in mosquitos bites, thanks to our night time planet gazing but at lunchtime, the mosquitos left us alone and instead, we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds visiting the runner beans and tussling over territory.

In other news, the shark flags were raised nearby for the first time this weekend. The flags have been introduced since great whites have started being seen further north. Many sharks are tagged and have been given names. In this case, an adolescent called Tuck pinged close to the coast. Freya and Gladee have also been seen in recent days. Their range is amazing - all the way from Florida to Nova Scotia but as things get warmer, we’re expecting to have them visit more often.
