Day 14.218: Birds at the marsh - mostly unidentified

Here are some of the birds we spotted at Scarborough Marsh on Saturday evening:

1) Probably a greater yellowlegs
2) Another yellowlegs (either greater or lesser)
3) Two small sandpipers (possibly least sandpipers)
4) Another sandpiper with non-yellow legs
5) An American goldfinch
6 & 7) A possibly immature sparrow (swamp or song perhaps)
8) There were several large flocks of egrets that flew from time to time before landing in unison. This is a group of (at least mostly) snowy egrets (yellow feet), and one glossy ibis
9) A great egret
10) Several glossy ibises
11) Some ducks in the golden-hour glow
12) No idea what these were - several flew overhead
13) A great blue heron
14) More small waders
15) A gull
16) Two cormorants practicing their passerine impression

A good bird-sighting day, an OK bird-photography day and a fairly poor bird-identification day.
