Day 18.123: A walk of two halves (pt. 2)

As we often do, instead of retracing our steps along the beach, we returned through Ferry Beach State Park and, since the bug situation is still under control, we looped around through the Tupelo swamp. 

We were a little surprised to find the last bit of trail before the boardwalk was completely under water, but we (in our separate ways) didn’t let it stop us.

Then, at the other end of the boardwalk we discovered that the trail was once again under water and this time, it seemed too deep for Exile #2’a boots, so we retraced our steps along the boardwalk (no longer surprised we were the only ones on it). 

Although we didn’t later get overtaken by a solitary walker who - we presume - must have made the traversal.
