We were probably heavily in the minority at the football yesterday, turning up to cheer on the pep band, rather than the football team. We did, of course, also cheer on the footballers, but try as we might we couldn’t compete with the footballers’ moms! We discovered we were sitting behind one in the fourth quarter when her support jumped up a notch and she explained it was her son who had just made a key tackle. We were all out-mommed, however, by another parent who came equipped with a megaphone to provide some extra volume for her extra support!!
