Today’s big event for us was a different kind of marathon than the one taking place in Paris. It involved driving to Worcester, assembling various items of flatpack furniture and unloading all the many things required to fill them, before heading home again minus Exile #4, of course, whose term starts shortly.
Aside from the occasional bit of road drama, including a Jeep with an alarmingly wobbly wheel that Exile #1 tried to flag down, it all went smoothly and we are unwinding by watching the spectacle of the closing ceremony.
