Hello muddah, hello faddah
Exile #4's at Camp Mechuwana
The weather looks mostly fine for her and the camp looks great with lake swimming, boating, hiking and plenty of activities in store. She missed out on the 5th grade trip that Exile #3 got to take in our previous school district, so we hope this will make up for that a little. We'll get the full report on Friday. Meanwhile, the rest of us will have to make do with some quieter meal times, lacking the regular belly laughs (accompanied by the tossing back of her currently impressive lion's mane).
The camp is about an hour from us, out in the countryside northwest of Portland, so we were a little surprised that we found ourselves traveling there via this place:
I wonder if they keep a welcome in the hillsides too.
Apparently there's a place called Monmouth just north of Wales, ME! I wonder what the history is? These Welsh people get everywhere!

Indeed. We drove through Monmouth (on the edge of Wales) too - there was a store there proudly selling "Italians". I'm not sure who is buying them however.
